We are a group from all over Central Otago & Queenstown Lakes District that meet during the year to learn, share and enjoy all that is irises.
Central Otago experiences the extremes of climate with harsh winters and hot dry summers. Bearded Irises in particular thrive in these conditions, and with care we can grow a wide variety of the iris, including the Aril.
In 2009 the group celebrated 50 years. To mark this, we hosted the National Iris Convention, in Cromwell.
This website is designed to let you know how to get in touch and to find out more about irises in Central Otago
