Central Otago Dykes Medal Collection

Dykes Memorial Medal: The Dykes Medal is the highest award of the Iris Society. Awarded to no more than one iris per year. The American, New Zealand and Australian Iris Societies, and British and European Iris Societies can each award this medal.

A collection of all the AIS Dykes Medal Winners is owned and cared for by the Central Otago Iris Group, and is on public display at the gardens in Alexandra. Be sure to visit in bloom time.
